About Paddy

According to history, including rice genus oryza L. which includes approximately 25 species, scattered in the area of the tropics and sub-tropical regions such as Asia, Africa, America and Australia. Paddy is one of the most important crop cultivation in human civilization. Country's leading producers of rice is People's Republic of China (31% of the total world production), India (20%), and Indonesia (9%). Thailand is a major exporter of rice (26% of the total rice sold in the world) followed by Vietnam (15%) and the United States (11%). Indonesia is the world's largest importer of rice (14% of rice sold in the world) followed by Bangladesh (4%), and Brazil (3%).

Farmers and rice are always a couple of victims from the rice trade in Indonesia. If you follow the news in Indonesia within a period of 5 years, the farmers are always losers, but the price of rice tended to increase each year. In fact almost most of the people of Indonesia need rice as staple food, while the eastern Indonesian region need more corn. This issue is not added to the problems of drug syndicate and fertilizer.
